In Bhopal, the Central Government is establishing an institute for providing education about Urban Management at national level. In this National Institute of Governance and Urban Management (NIGUM), PG Diploma in Urban Engineering and Municipal Finance will provide. For this, Ministry of Urban Development of Central Govt. has been provided the amount of 50 crores. Not only this, they have been allotted 25 acres land for construction of institute building at Bhauri.
The Central Govt. has decided to establish the institute for urban engineering in three places of India i.e. Hyderabad, Gujarat & M.P. The education about Urban Engineering and Municipal Development has not been provided in any institute in India yet. But PG diploma in this subject of 9 months will be provided in this institute. For this, this institute will be affiliated with the University of National Level. This institute will be registered in firm and society.
Branches in 7 States: The working area of this institute will be M.P., Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, U.P., Uttaranchal and Rajasthan. This institute not only provides Urban Engineering related courses, but also Structure, Governance Activity. Along with this, this will also work on providing research and consultancy.
Action plan will be prepared by the Specialists: The Blue Prints and Action Plans will be prepared by the specialist in Urban Management related field for opening this institute in Bhopal. For this, the meeting has been arranged in the office on Friday. In this meeting, the discussions will be held about the authority, working area and financial modules. After making the action plan by the specialists, this will send it to the government for permission.
