Wish list of Students of the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay (IIT-B)

After a grant spent of Rs 15 lakh has on gratifying some wishes a longer list anticipates. This is the incident or we can say the words of Students at the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay (IIT-B) because now they make their wish list to improve facilities in their hostels. Their needs are very expensive as them. Although the Hostel 7 has got bookcases, Hostel 4 a gymnasium and Hostel 2 now has a home theatre system.

There is Rs2 5 lakh values Laundromats that Hostel 6 and 8 will almost immediately acquire and Hostel 11 wants a library in it. The wish list can be never-ending other than the alumni committee also checks the requirements of the hostel. For example, at what time Hostel 4 asked for a treadmill in the gym, the wish was discarded because the 550-acre campus in itself is a large treadmill.

The proposal has been divided into three parts – everyday chores such as sanitation, which the students can take care of themselves, preservation works such as leaking pipes that the institute needs to deal with and the wish list. The thought at the back the program is that a designated student body would carry out periodic audits of the hostel facilities to build up an actionable improvement plan and put up notices and photos on the web for packed visibility.

IIT’s are improving day by day but it is good also for the students that they have these facilities as studies are high-quality to be done in good environment but what about additional colleges. They are there to just make money that’s why so many engineering seats are empty in some colleges and not anything is done to check their quality.
